Team building events can be as complicated or simple as you wish, and the exercises can be used both indoors and outdoors. Formats can range from a series of management tasks set in the grounds of a hotel, to a more complicated Network Project in the Wye Valley including abseiling, caving and mountain biking. The most popular team building events include:

MISSION IMPOSSIBLE

Participants arrive and are told that the Boss has been kidnapped and are handed a rucksack containing a cassette, a map of the grounds, batteries, a compass and personal stereo. The cassette reveals a briefing that will take each team to a different starting point and help them on their way to finding the hostage. Using the compass and map the teams have to locate and complete a series of tasks such as Spiders Web, Virus, Rope Square and Gorge Crossing. All teams are accompanied by a "Special Agent" to ensure fair play! At the end of the event each team will have enough information to locate the hostage and the finale is a mad rush to liberate the poor Teddy Bear tied to a tree.

This event is a fun and enjoyable way of tying together a series of team exercises. It is very flexible and can include plenty of extras such as: Land Rovers, mountain bikes, abseiling, caving, canoeing, ambushes, blindfold driving and even microlights.

You may wish for something very light hearted but still with a team building element incorporated into the event.

In this case some fun exercises such as the Obstacle Skis and Washing Powder Advert can be used, followed by head to head competitions on the Human Table Football, Giant Sack Race and Three Legged Splash Water Relay complete with Super Soaker water pistols! Other ideas include Land Rover Treasure Hunts or a Historic City Clue Trail.
