Murder Mystery
This interactive form of murder theatre is extremely popular and allows you to enter the world of mystery and murder. You become the detective tracking down the ruthless killer. Questioning the suspects, observing their movements, searching for the motive and looking for the opportunity which was seized upon, by the murderer, for evil.
Various companies offer Murder Dinners but the structure is basically the same and roughly follows the same outline with small variations from company to company. In most cases an MC welcomes the guests and is on hand to help them at any time. He, or she, basically keeps the night on the rails and also introduces any action which takes place. Before dinner the first scene is played out. Throughout dinner the action continues with the guests being able to question the suspects. Further scenes are enacted and further interrogations are held. Sometimes written info on the suspects is made available. One thing to remember is that not everything heard can be true and many red herrings are thrown in to keep all but the best of sleuths from finding out whodunit.
The Plot
The style of story can be selected by you before the event. The range of plots available varies from company to company but can be anything from a gruesome death linked to a cursed Egyptian relic to the murder of a record company executive.
Custom Murders
Some companies will even write a special script including information, supplied by you, about an acquaintance who will become the murder victim. How about bumping off the MD.
The event can be as lavish as you wish. For instance ambulances, police cars and helicopters can be used as part of the script and the whole event themed with room decorations etc.
